When it comes to bulking up your “skinny” real estate, start with an “open door policy.” By removing a door (in my case it was a bedroom door) and hanging a beautiful curtain in its place, you’ve maximized precious square inches.  Just keep in mind and double your curtain panel so the pretty side of the fabric can be seen coming in and going out of the room.

Draping a doorway also adds a little intrigue and romance to any space!
